Two goalies.
A lot of bees. From crease to comb

We spent years stopping pucks. Now we keep hives, and every jar of honey we pull comes straight from our own bees.

The bottle

One Pound Pure Honey

Our honey comes in a classic embossed glass bottle with a cork stopper, the kind with the beehive pressed right into the glass. Hold it up to the sun and you'll see why we couldn't stop smiling at the first harvest.

Our story

We used to guard the net.Now we guard the hive.

Two Keepers started with two former ice hockey goalies and one shared idea. Goalies are a particular breed: patient, a little superstitious, and happy to stand in one spot while chaos flies at them. That turns out to be good training for opening a hive full of bees.

We trade masks for veils and blockers for smokers, but the job feels familiar. Read the play, stay calm, protect what's yours. We look after our colonies through the seasons and bottle only what they can spare.

The bees on our label are wearing maroon pads for a reason. This is honey made by keepers, for people who like knowing exactly where their food comes from.

How a bottle gets made

Four steps, no shortcuts. The bees do most of the work. We mostly try not to get in their way.

  1. The forecheck

    Forage

Our bees work the local bloom all season, bringing nectar back to the hive.

  2. Hold the line

    Cap

They fan the nectar down into honey and seal each cell with wax once it's ready.

  3. The pull

    Harvest

We take only fully capped frames and always leave the colony plenty for winter.

  4. Glove save

    Bottle

Extracted, strained and poured into one-pound glass bottles, then corked by hand.
